Access ADU HELOC

Features and Benefits

Homeownership in California comes with unique challenges, including high housing demand, limited space, and rising construction costs. Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) have become an increasingly popular solution, allowing homeowners to expand living space, increase property value, accommodate multigenerational living, or generate rental income.

Our Access ADU HELOC is designed specifically for California homeowners planning to build an ADU. Unlike traditional financing options, our ADU HELOC can consider both future rental income and the projected value of the home after the ADU is completed to help qualified borrowers obtain the financing they need to bring their ADU project to life.

Whether you're building a detached ADU, converting existing space, or adding a prefabricated unit, our flexible financing solution can help make your project more attainable.

•    Loan amounts up to $300,000.00

•    Interest-only payments during the first 10 years

•    Financing available for:

  • Detached ADUs
  • Attached ADUs
  • Junior ADUs
  • Prefabricated or Modular ADUs

The Access ADU HELOC is subject to credit approval, underwriting, and property eligibility requirements. Future appraised value and projected rental income may be considered for qualified borrowers but are not guaranteed to be used for loan qualification. The Annual Percentage Rate (APR) is variable and is based on the Wall Street Journal Prime Rate plus an applicable margin. Borrowers are responsible for all closing costs and fees associated with originating the HELOC, which typically range from $2,000 to $4,000. Rates, terms, and program availability are subject to change without notice.
